Faith should inspire humility and responsibility, not claims that political choices are automatically “God’s work.” When leaders invoke religion to justify policies—even catastrophic ones—they should expect serious scrutiny. In a democracy, decisions must be judged by their consequences for human beings, not by divine branding.
