I've been relying on postal orders for over 20 years. 90% of my library has been bought online. Although roughly every 5th parcel I get is tampered with, in all those years I never received only about 10 books and only one book was stolen from the parcel.
I did a bit of research and have some good news: books are the least frequently stolen items by postal workers.
