The custom controls were what first caught my attention with Tesseract from @trymirage. But the tools underneath are just as interesting.
Tesseract can work with adjustment layers, time remapping, keyframes, motion graphics and even sound! You could ask it to build a speed ramp into a transition or change the look of a whole sequence, then keep refining the same project.
That's a key ingredient in vibe editing - still being involved in the edits. Start with an idea, build it out, and keep pushing it as you figure out what works.

The main component Anthropic is missing now is speed. Opus 5.5 is a MASSIVE leap in how their models feel for me to use in the result but the time it took to get there is still an issue. It's tough to make it my daily driver.
This is something OpenAI remains undefeated on. With GPT-6 Sol and Luna being out, 99% of my daily tasks it feels illegal how quickly I get them done. And Astra is still amazing AND fast.
Maybe the new version of Haiku kicks ass? Maybe
