The American dream is very much alive and well. I made 7/hr at my first job in 2001. Minimum wage but its a start My daughter makes 18/hr at her first job. 7 bucks is worth 13.30 today She stays at home until she's 25 she'll have a huge down payment on a house so that debt will not cripple her when she leaves the house. Plain and simple, if you're 18 and still at home save money to knock out a huge portion of your house payment and you will be good

These judges heads must be the size of watermelons....surely they get satisfaction over bucking the trend, going against common sense and what is right in their decisions. A prerequisite for the judicial system should be a comprehensive test that bars you if you FAIL STUPID ASS QUESTIONS LIKE SHOULD I LOCK UP A PERSON WHO STABS CHILDREN! God help us all!

Inflows and Valuations: Since the end of 2022, the last bearish sort of year, the total inflow of REAL capital from investors and buybacks of the top 10 QQQ companies has been roughly 1.5 trillion dollars. This is REAL money However, the market cap paper values of these same companies has increased by 13 TRILLION. This is what's known as the multiplier effect. These inflows compete to buy what open shares exist on the market. Thanks to index funds essentially blocking their shares from being sold, only a small fraction of shares exist to buy, which causes a bidding war and drives values 10x like current conditions dictate. But when funds finally want to shift to something else (high interest bonds, gold, BTC etc) a massive influx of shares enter the markets to be SOLD. This creates a reverse multiplier effect and leaves equities with their pants down. Historically, a yield of 5% on the 10 year has provoked this before. Currently the 10 year is 5.3% ... @Mr_Derivatives

The shiny object is abortion. Make it political, get them fighting over a small percentage 10 out of 1000 women have an abortion. That's 1%. It is terrible but only a small fraction. The REAL destruction of society is contraceptives.. Women are brainwashed from a young age to be like men, have careers and put motherhood on the backburner. Over 80% of women use contraceptives. That means only 1 in 5 women choose not to alter their God given gift of creating life. It started in the 1960s in developed nations. I ask you, what are these nation's replacement rates? Why do you think these governments let in illegals by the millions. We have self destructed our own populations via contraceptives and a lie told to women. Was this by design?

After experiencing Cybercab for the past few days in Austin, I think the biggest thing people are missing is the zero-sum game built into Uber. You have two people sharing one environment, with different preferences. The driver likes the temperature at 66. I want 72. If I get more comfortable, he gets less comfortable. He likes his music. I want mine. He wants the windows open. I want them closed. I take a few extra minutes getting to the car, and those are minutes another human spends waiting for me. There’s this constant little tug of war. My comfort and convenience can come at the expense of his. And I don’t blame the driver. It’s his working environment. He’s in that car all day. Of course he has preferences. That’s why I just let him play whatever music he wants. I don’t want my comfort to come at his expense. We’ve gotten so accustomed to this that we barely notice the tension anymore. Then you take a Cybercab. I set the temperature to 72. Nobody gets less comfortable. I play my Spotify at the volume I want. Nobody has to give up their music. I grab my Starbucks and take a couple of minutes to walk over, within the pickup window. Nobody is sitting there getting irritated with me. The car has no competing preferences. That is a profound change in the experience. I can optimize the ride around what makes me comfortable without asking another person to sacrifice what makes them comfortable. And you feel it. You get in, lean back, and relax. There’s no negotiation. No wondering whether your request is going to annoy someone. That whole layer of social tension disappears. I think this is a huge part of Cybercab’s value. Removing that zero-sum dynamic changes what the service feels like at its core. Once people experience that, I think a lot of them are going to have a very hard time going back to Uber.
