So I did some digging into why people are suddenly getting large sums of money deposited into their X Money accounts. It appears @Pumpfun is testing a new marketing strategy: launching memecoins tied to influential people and their companies/associations etc, then sending those individuals a share of the fees via cash through @UsePaid. The idea appears to be that if the person acknowledges or interacts with the memecoin, it could generate attention and potentially drive up its value. Of course, recipients don’t have to engage with the token at all. The money essentially shows up unsolicited, almost like an airdrop. But that raises a much bigger question: Should you touch the money? And could withdrawing or using it create any legal, tax, disclosure, or other obligations? Until there’s more clarity around exactly how this works and the potential implications for recipients, I’d personally hold off on withdrawing or spending the money. The best thing would be to let it sit in your X Money account to earn the 6% APY. This is a fascinating new crypto marketing strategy, but there are still a lot of unanswered questions. #memecoins #xmoney #usepaid
