I've been teaching and leading schools for over 25 years.
I know that if I can't meet our students' personal, social and emotional needs, I'll never meet their learning needs.
A parent of a new Reception child told that me that she had chosen our school because everyone on her street told her how great our school was.
That is worth morth than 50 Outstanding Ofsted inspections.
There should not be any grades on an Ofsted Inspection Report.
Just detail what the school does really well.
And what needs to be worked on.
And how the school will be supported to improve.
That's what parents want to know. They don't need grades and comparisons.

Wellbeing of students in schools starts with wellbeing of staff.
If the staff team feel supported, included and heard; they will do the same for our students.
I'm a Principal of 2 schools with nearly 2000 kids.
All my most memorable moments this year involved teaching the kids.
Still the best part of the job!
Across our Federation, we and I have had a great year:
I've been able to teach as much as possible.
I've led a coaching group for all staff.
I've attended so many planning sessions.
How? Because I have'nt had to waste time thinking about Ofsted.
It's been great for everyone.
Staff wellbeing isn't about biscuits and cakes in the staff room.
It is about making staff feel valued, included, respected and listened to.
Then they'll stay
We are at a turning point in our country.
We either focus on hate and division.
Or love and collaboration.
I know which I've focused on in our schools this week.
I've led 5 assemblies this week - with a focus on Gypsy Roma Traveller Month.
I remember the first time as a child, that reference was made to my own background in an assembly. It was life changing to my self esteem.
I saw that same effect in every assembly I led this week.
