Every time you hit approve on a marketplace, you’re giving a vote of trust to that marketplace’s implementations and infrastructure. How many of you are fit to constantly monitor and audit marketplace infra before submitting that txn? 🤔 We can’t even trust marketplaces any more. Be careful out there.

Hey @Ableton, a Trim Silence function has been a top request in your beta forums since version 8; we’re now on v12. Nearly every other DAW already has this. Why are you ignoring us? 🤷🏼‍♂️

What no one else here seems to want to say out loud, so I will: The “builder community” only exists within 2 arms of the mining space; open source, and products in non-competing lanes. If your product is closed source or stands to infringe on any potential revenue for an existing product or business, there are no limits to the tactics utilized to attempt to destroy you or your products. Shit talking, activating the rumor mill, false accusations, unfounded attacks on the products, businesses and people behind them, front-running, using fiscal power to strong arm people, etc etc.; it’s very fucking dirty. I’ve seen exponentially more non-competitive business practices than the opposite, here specifically. Some outfits seem to have made their entire promotional approach to be shit talking whatever they aren’t behind or don’t sell. If you, like me, are a developer, inventor or technically apt person looking to enter into things here after seeing the public narrative that paints such a nice, pretty picture, understand that’s not the reality. At all. If only everyone realized that the choice of what to buy falls on the consumer, and that choice is a beautiful thing because when you make the best shit, it sells itself without the malicious tactics required. Pride and confidence never has to be so loud… 🤔

We are a country being divided, on purpose, by an American oligarchy that profits from the fight. They’ve captured our government, denied our healthcare, looted our treasury, and saddled us with crippling debt. I believe in a New New Deal. Healthcare as a human right. The right of every family to a decent home, and an end to endless wars. And a dividend paid to every American from the AI economy, because these machines were built on the whole of human inheritance. That inheritance belongs to all of us, and not just to the handful of men playing God with our very existence. And none of it happens if we just move on. Donald Trump, his family, and his administration are robbing us blind, not just of our money, but of our faith in one another, and they have to answer for it. Truth and reconciliation, not revenge. Then we break the system that let them do it. The question is not whether we will lose our democracy. The question is whether we will fight to take back what has already been stolen. I learned in recovery that you can’t heal what you won’t name. Neither can a country.

The builders of the mining community have seemingly enjoyed the infancy of this space via a general lack of competition. But, as attention continues to swell in home mining, this attracts more builders and thus, more competition. This has manifested an unfortunate dichotomy; the existing builders who once claimed to be all about community first and supporting other builders are now actively making moves to harm or handicap others so that they can maintain their market share and pocket more $$$. All this does is limit innovation and the availability of more tools and options for us all. Typical competitive business practices usually stand on the merits of the products and companies themselves and don't involve theft of IP, front-running or malicious behavior meant to harm other builders. I predict that we start seeing a lot more lawsuits rolling out in this space, unless people start operating their businesses with more integrity. Greed is not an admirable quality.
