This man has been a mentor, a friend, a brother and an invaluable Hall of Fame piece of local sports media. Such a sad day for high school sports and the NorCal region. I don’t have the words.
Tough day
After 38 years at The Sacramento Bee, I was part of sweeping company layoffs.
My last day is Oct. 9.
I love my job & my role in the community. I thank coaches, athletes, media & especially readers & followers.
I’m not done working.
I’m excited about what’s next.
