Responsibilism shows higher criterion validity than the top 5 most-used scales--correlations like living with extended family, kinship systems, and LOWER rates of donating blood to strangers or returning lost wallets to strangers. (The relationship is key!)

Twenty years ago, I was a bright-eyed research assistant at the University of Michigan. The senior cultural psychologists taught me an open secret: collectivism scales "don't work." So don't use them.
