And Eddo-Lodge is on to the Notting Hill riots. Somehow she omits/is ignorant of the fact that Rachman and other landlords were explicitly and deliberately using the criminal and antisocial behaviour of West Indians to drive out the white working class to replace them with more profitable West Indian criminality.
The black man and the Swedish woman she mentions were a pimp and the fresh off the boat, barely English speaking woman he had lured into mariage. He'd moved her into a house full of other West Indian pimps and the white women they were prostituting. He was soon prostituting her. The black men who came to his aid were other West Indian pimps. The fighting back is partly the pimps connected to Raymond Morrison, and also friends of King Dick, the West Indian male prostitute and illegal club owner who had been preventing residents sleeping with his ignoring of licensing and noise laws.
These seem like strange details to leave out. It makes it look as though these were ordinary black people who just wanted to keep the NHS running and were attacked purely because of their skin colour. Ironically, Raymond did work for the NHS in some unskilled capacity around this time, along with the pimping and drug dealing.

This agressively ignorant Nigerian didn't learn about the 1963 Bristol Bus Boycott until the year before writing the essay this book explaining the history of Bitish race relations is based on, while working for the race and equality think tank Runnymede Trust because the Trust shoved it under he ignorant nose. It's fascinating that you can be an activist about a subject you have no interest in learning about, and that famous activist organisations will hire you on that basis. When I say "you", probably not YOU, but you know what I mean... HER!

The Department Of History at Warwick has a course Race, Racism and Resistance in Modern Britain (HI2D4). Thought I might have a crack at the reading for it. The first book just arrived. Reni Eddo-Lodge, Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race. It looks... exquisit.

This book is a shocking display of ignorance. It's like she got her knowledge of history from half heard David Lammy soundbites. Part of the reason I don't get into the essay writing game is that I doubt myself. You stick your neck out with an essay, and the amount of work required to really know what you are talking about is a lot. This lazy ignorant retart knocks out a book that's received multiple awards, get's used as university course material, and lands newspaper gigs on the back of not knowing what she is talking about and announcing she isn't interested in having her ignorance corrected. Amazing levels of grift, willful ignorance and mountains of being pandered to.
Much better and more carefully written than How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi though.
