My take on the paper bagged wallstreet bull:
People are looking at the Wall Street Bull getting paper bagged and thinking it’s just another funny crypto stunt. I think they’re missing the bigger picture here, WIF showed us exactly how powerful this type of meme propagation can be.
In February 2024, the WIF community physically put the famous Wall Street Bull in a knitted hat. Videos went viral, the crypto community picked it up, and WIF went on to become a multi billion dollar memecoin.
Now look at what is happening with solana:HcRLc9VDgjLeK154xDawfb1dmVJ98DoSqcwTHGqiDeJR . The community didn’t just make another “AI video or generated image” they took the defining symbol of the meme “the paper bag” and put it on one of the most recognizable financial monuments in the world.
That matters because once a meme leaves CT and starts appearing in the real world, the meme itself becomes the marketing. The paper bag is becoming ZCAT’s version of the WIF hat. You can put it on a cat, a person, a statue, a meme, a brand literally anything can be paper bagged…
That’s what makes a meme so powerful and easily recognizable, easily replicated and endlessly adaptable and the ZCAT community is doing a great job at doing so and also showing something else I really like:
