The SNP Government must confirm the changes to aerial firefighting capabilities and whether wildfires would be prioritised.
Our communities need answers and we must urgently plan for the next wildfire season.
I was relieved to hear the critical incident at Dr Gray’s was stood down.
However it is deeply concerning to see these ahead of the busy winter period and I am calling on the Scottish Govt to work with NHS Grampian to produce an urgent recovery plan.

I welcome the commitment made by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to enhance PPE provision for those tackling wildfires.
I hope that this can be done as soon as possible.
I’ve asked the Scottish Government to consider the rural challenges faced by families dealing with childhood cancer.
Transport to healthcare can be really expensive and difficult to access, so children can reach the best care possible.
It’s great that Cameron Barracks won’t be used as asylum accommodation but the groups who used the buildings previously still don’t have a date to move back in.
I’m working closely with @CllrIsabelleMac to get answers from the UK Government.

🗳️ Please vote for local resident Katie in the Forth and Endrick by-election on Thursday, October 1.

The consequences of the Spey Bridge roadworks for local businesses have been devastating.
Notifications for major works like this must come far sooner so businesses can put plans in place.
I hope lessons are learned from this.

Some of my contribution to the recent soft fruit debate 👇
I’m disappointed that no support for local businesses will be forthcoming to compensate for losses due to the A96 Spey Bridge roadworks.
I do hope the Cabinet Secretary seriously considers the need to communicate planned works to businesses sooner so they can plan accordingly.
There have been numerous delays to A96 dualling but building the Nairn bypass would be a significant start.
I’m asking the First Minister to intervene to bring the long timescales forward so we can finally see much need improvements to the A96.
