After careful consideration, I have decided not to seek the Republican nomination for North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District. My responsibilities to my family and businesses would not allow me to commit to more than a few years in Congress. Western North Carolina deserves a representative who can give the full measure of time required, both day-to-day and over the long-term. Anything less would be unfair to the people of this district. I am deeply grateful for the outpouring of support and encouragement I received over the past few days. Your confidence in me has been both humbling and meaningful, and I will not soon forget it. I remain fully committed to serving the citizens of Senate District 48 and look forward to continuing that work on behalf of the communities I am proud to represent. Thank you. -Tim

Good afternoon, I'm grateful for the overwhelming encouragement I've received from people across Western North Carolina to consider running for Congress. I also want to thank Congressman Edwards for his service to our state and our nation, and for making the right decision for this election. The people of Western North Carolina are resilient. Two years after Hurricane Helene, our communities are still rebuilding. They deserve a representative who will match their grit and determination — someone who will fight as hard in Washington as our families, retirees, farmers, and small businesses fight every day here at home. The 11th District needs a conservative who will stand shoulder to shoulder with President Trump, champion Western North Carolina values, and run a campaign that's ready to win from day one — with the organization, the coalition, and the resources to hold this seat.
