Not to say that I haven't done this before, but seeing filmmakers fixating on fixing something that really doesn't need fixing with new material but just needs a reworking of what is already there, is a bit frustrating.

What bucket are you pouring your story into?
Make sure not to dilute the purity of the story by thinning it out with too many buckets.

It would be great if the conversation around film was void of comparison.
Just because a story has been done over and over is no reason to dismiss it.
But I also get that we've all seen a really good version that males it tough for anything else to measure up.

Awesome!
Today was that day. Day 1 on my first feature film, OCCUPIED. What an incredible day it was. High octane, 30 setups, blazing heat, tiny crew, but every shot as great or better than my mind's eye for the script. so humbled, grateful, and excited. What an incredible small but mighty crew! each and every one of these folks worked tirelessly. Including those who hoped in prep on costumes, wardrobe, etc. Day, one down. 14 to go!
