Watching Apocalypse Now from 1979. The scene where they trade the fuel to be with the playboy bunnies that were there with the USO and one of the bunnies starts talking about how “they” made her do things she didn’t wanna do. Today people would be screaming how WOKE it is.
You know how when someone does something heroic and the mayor gives them a ceremonial key to the city? I think a much more useful reward is a sticker that allows you to park ANYWHERE in the city at ANY time. I will gladly jump in front a shooter for that kind of prize.
I ask a 2nd party to ask a 3rd party something about a job I’m supposed to do and the 3rd party gives an answer I didn’t ask for and the 2nd party comes back to me with the non answer and I’m like but.. what about.. what I asked 🤷♂️
One of my favorite movie quotes is from We Were Soldiers when the guy says good morning Sgt Major and he replies super angrily “How do you know what kind of god damned day it is?” That’s how I feel every morning.
Seriously, if you’re a drummer and you haven’t been to Badges you’re fucking up. It’s crazy that places like this are so rare but they really are, so much so that people travel from states away to check em out. It’s up in Mason and it’s awesome. me-l.co/xl00sa9d
