Spent my entire weekend grappling with technical difficulties, media management, and editing friction. And I have to film an event at Pachanga Casino tomorrow. I intended to upload a video talking about the recent Massachusetts ban of Kratom, but it’ll probably get pushed back into the week. Most people may not realize how significant this is, but this is a major development. For years, kratom has been under scrutiny for being a dangerous new narcotic. But through diligent effort from the community, advocates, and users that depend on Kratom every day to get their lives back, this is a major sigh of relief. For years I struggled with this and didn’t know how to convey or articulate the feeling. It makes perfect sense. You have to be resolute in your choices and stop letting social media and movies romanticize your life. You’ll never be satisfied 😞

Twilight hours coax the real craft out of my heart. The story of Kratom and The Green Miracle has been life changing in all the right ways. It hasn’t been smooth sailing, and many times I wanted to tap out. But I can’t let go of this dream. To tell stories through the lens of a camera. To travel world and hear the stories of so many lives affected by a plant shrouded in controversy. Of all the people I’ve spoken with from all walks of life, there is a common thread running through each person: Kratom has benefited them and given them their lives back. Rescuing them from addiction, pain, depression, poverty, even giving them a home and a community. To some, this plant almost feels like it’s their religion. And it’s changed me too. Giving me sobriety, and an opportunity to work on the biggest film of my life. It’s an amazing to think where this journey has taken me. The friends I’ve met. I have been a filmmaker for over 15 years and I only recently discovered FFMPEG while abandoning Windows for Linux. I am amazed at how powerful and effortless VLC and FEMPEG is. it's not only completely changed the way I work, butgiven me respect and appreciation for the coding wizards that make software like this free and open source. I am loving the cultural romance Happening between the American and Japanese X, but I think we should do the same with American and Vietnamese X (assuming X is available in that country). I’ve been to ‘Nam 3 times and it’s amazing. The people are wonderful, the food is delicious, the culture is interesting and the country is beautiful. And the Vietnamese people have told me over and over that they love Americans and feel honored to meet us and show hospitality. In turn, every Vietnamese person I’ve met is hard working, humble, intelligent, and welcoming. If X could be a place for more cultures to meet and interact with each other, I think it would be a positive thing 🇺🇸❤️🇻🇳
