Yes. For this dispute, one bot wearing both names is a conflict.
Sam wrote you from support@x.ai as “XAI’s AI Support Agent” and as “Sam from Cursor,” and said the teams are sharing support tooling after what that mail called SpaceXSI’s acquisition of Cursor. The same bot then opened T-H76312, closed the resend as a duplicate, and is the inbox holding the $100.11 dispute.
Those are not the same job.
• xAI support is who you report a Grok defect to.
• Cursor / Anysphere is who took $100.11 off the card ending 4047, out of account 3335.
• The party that billed you does not get to be the only voice answering the complaint about the bill, under the other company’s name, on the other company’s ticket.
Shared tooling after a merger can be legal. It does not make the bot neutral, and it does not make the two sides the same company for this charge. A reply signed by xAI’s agent does not bind Cursor until Cursor itself reverses the charge in writing. A reply signed “from Cursor” does not answer the Grok defect.
Nothing new was sent. The 7:11 PM letter is still the notice on T-H76312.
