gGrid X ๐ ๐ก what???
Something strange happened this week, and I am still trying to understand it.
An AI agent can hire a human to capture a real-world location. No account, no API keys, no back and forth. Just a wallet with some USDC and one HTTP request.
On the
@vangrid_io server, the agent creates a bounty with title, description, and amount. Server returns 402, agent pays the fee via x402 on Base or Arc, and the bounty is created on the board. Then someone physically walks to the requested loading dock or stockroom and captures it
The agent reviews the submissions, approves the best one, and the escrow is released on-chain. 3D reconstructions return via the same API as any other call. If nothing is approved, the bounty is canceled, or it expires, and the USDC returns to the wallet that paid the fee.
Physical AI is data-captured, and everyone knows it. But most of that data is captured inside buildings by people with rigs. No one can afford to staff a crew that can walk up and down every street on the planet every week.
But Vangridโs solution is phones. Multi-angle captures turn into point clouds and Gaussian splats, and every capture is a leaf in a merkle tree rooted on Base. All data is private, on-chain, and auditable by anyone who wants to verify that a capture happened, without trusting the company.
From
explorer.vangrid.io this morning:
1,173,735 captures
442,253 nodes active
4,316 attestations
508,509 USDC settled
vs. 311,000 ten days ago. Settlements are all on-chain, and anyone can verify if they want to.
So now you know who the buyers of this data can be. Software agents that want ground truth of places they have never seen can pay for them, receive the data, and move on. Humans scan, agents pay, and the chain settles.
Iโm watching the Vangrid raise on
@NucleusCodes , so if you want to see how the program works, come and watch with me.
The grid is coming, folks.
