No Manās Sky is now available on iOS. Here it is on my iPad. I ran it from default settings and tried it out in 60FPS at ultra settings near the end.
Honestly, not bad for a mobile version of the universe you can keep in your pocket.
Not every game needs to be a hundred miles an hour. Sometimes I just want a pretty village and time to pick my next attack. Final Fantasy Resonance gets the appeal.
10 years ago I watched the Switch reveal and for the first time since the GameCube I was actually excited about a Nintendo console. Now the Switch 2 is my main gaming device, and the way things are going, I think it stays that way for the next few years. Where were you when it dropped?
Iām nearing completion of Star Wars Outlaws on the Switch 2, and I have to say itās a lot better than I was expecting it to be. The Switch 2 handles it like a stallion too.
Someone built a custom Portal 2 level just to propose⦠and let GLaDOS handle the big moment. Out of every option, they picked the murderous AI. We're closer to this than you think.
Diablo IV on Switch 2 is exactly the sort of thing I wanted this console for. Big, gloomy adventures I can play in bed.
My early impressions, questionable fashion choices, and three trips to Hell's admissions desk. Full video attached.
Valheim makes me nostalgic for a place I've never been.
It sent me to slay mythical beasts. I got distracted building a port.
My first 20 hours playing solo on Nintendo Switch 2: questionable boss tactics, a very square house, and some goblin men who threw rocks at me. Full review below.
Ocarina of Time taught me what adventure could feel like. I want this remake to change the face, not the heart.
My full Zelda presentation reaction: childhood nostalgia, remake worries, and Benji attacking the green screen.
What part of Ocarina has stayed with you?
I quit Cyberpunk 2077 twice. Switch 2 brought me back.
Portability helped. Changing how I playedāand finally caring about Night Cityās peopleāmade me stay.
My full review, featuring a deeply questionable ripperdoc.
When AI changes a characterās face, who gets to direct the frame? More realism is still an artistic choice. Recorded Aug 28.

Houses, businesses, jobs, romance, family, and a proper ability tree: Fable is keeping the life-fantasy systems that helped make Albion feel like somewhere you could belong, not merely another map to clear.
Warlock needs magic that changes the world, not just a prettier damage number. Preview analysis, not hands-on. Recorded Aug 28.

Fableās physical performances and cinematography look impressive. The facial animation feels flatter by comparisonāand in a character-driven fairy tale, those faces need to carry emotional weight.
Fable needs its systems to collide. Morality, reputation and consequences matter as much as combat. Preview analysis, not hands-on. Recorded Aug 28.

Albion looks whimsical, busy, and genuinely inviting in Fableās latest trailer. The real test is whether those taverns, streets, and wandering NPCs feel as alive when weāre actually playing.
I developed some basic video editing software with @ChatGPT having complete control with MCP tools, while also handling the entirety of distribution and in two weeks Iāve made 100 subscribers.
Sure itās not hundreds of thousands, but the point is that it all just works end-to-end. I donāt even have access to Astra yet so I can only imagine whatās to come.
Elden Ring has builds, routes, and replayability. It also lets me create Gluteus Kekius Cheek Smasher, which is a strong argument for starting again.

Video games are art. Elden Ring is Exhibit A.
Its world, atmosphere, and stories hiding in item descriptions make exploring feel like more than clearing a checklist.

Fableās āstyle weavingā lets you move between melee, ranged weapons, and magic during combos. The trailerās combat looks functionalābut the morality systems, characters, and world may be doing more of the heavy lifting.
Elden Ring trusts you to get lost, pay attention, and figure things out. I like that freedomāeven when it is kicking my teeth in.
What made the game click for you?

Modern Warfare 4 feels really good on Switch 2. Naturally, I used that tactical advantage to browse a convenience store and inspect a restaurant.

Assassinās Creed Shadowsā cross-save may be the Switch 2 versionās killer feature. Ubisoft Connect lets the same save follow you between PS5 and portable play. Enable it before splitting time between systems. Full review: youtu.be/EbS0flnmSL8
I definitely did not die once in Elden Ring. Please ignore the fat roll, boss deaths, Tree Sentinel, falling scream, failed never-die technique, and enemies chewing my bones for dinner. The editor has been instructed accordingly.
#EldenRing#NintendoSwitch2
MW4 had me swapping armor plates like they might rescue my run. They did not. Thirty deaths in thirty minutesāan efficient way to destroy a K/D ratio.
Do armor plates help, or add one more thing to panic about?

Warlock is promising a deliberately minimal map: landmarks, rumors, multiple routes, and new magical abilities instead of an icon checklist. If Invoke pulls that off, Darkon could be worth genuinely exploring.

Assassinās Creed Shadows gives its side activities a reason to exist. Kofuns, forest paths, and kata reward Knowledge Points that feed your build instead of merely filling a checklist. Full Switch 2 review: youtu.be/EbS0flnmSL8
Glute Cheeksmasher tries fat-rolling, challenges his first boss, fights the Tree Sentinel, invents the ancestral horse-circle technique, and discovers Benjamin has been chewing his bones for dinner.
A flawless Elden Ring run.

Xbox ownership, Switch 2 prices, and DLSS 5 in this weekās gaming news. Full episode below.
Recorded August 28. The Modern Warfare 4 beta has ended.
Qualified sharpshooter, terrible Call of Duty aim. The Switch 2 Pro Controller felt excellent, and HD Rumble gave the weapons satisfying feedback.
Real shooting skills: useless in FPS games, or is my aim cursed?

Warlock wants D&D spells to be more than combat buttons. Invoke says magic will shape traversal, exploration, and environmental problem-solving too. That systemic toolbox is the exciting part.

Turok Origins has dinosaurs, aliens, co-op shooting, and DNA-powered abilitiesāso yes, it has my attention. Itās delayed to spring 2027, though. The real question: meaningful Turok revival, or another co-op shooter with a familiar name? #TurokOrigins#NintendoSwitch2
Assassinās Creed Shadows generally holds up in combat on Switch 2. The cracks show elsewhere: longer loads and occasional temporary model or cloth glitches while the game catches up. Full review: youtu.be/EbS0flnmSL8
Elden Ringās character creator gave me enough freedom to create Glute Cheeksmasherāand then punish every facial slider until he became magnificently cursed.
The āHandsome Gluteā visual is a stylized AI gag; gameplay and commentary are authentic.

MW4ās Switch 2 campaign looked mostly crisp, with obvious upscaling softness. I didnāt notice frame drops; I believe it targets 30 FPS. Thatās firsthand observation, not a benchmark.

This is FFXIV running docked on Switch 2 in one of Limsa Lominsaās busiest spots.
Other players take a few seconds to load in, but once the plaza fills out, the game stays remarkably steady. I didnāt notice any frame drops here.
Stage Tour looks like the Guitar Hero revival Iāve wanted: 90+ licensed songs, full-band play, and dedicated physical instruments planned for Switch 2.
Iām here for itāthough my wallet may not be.
Launches December 10.

Warlock is announced for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic in 2027. Switch 2? Still not announcedābut itās exactly the kind of systemic action game Iād want portable.
Full breakdown: youtu.be/h5yt4wU01Ek
Fable is ditching the universal good-versus-evil meter for witnessed actions and local reputations. Different NPCs can judge the same behavior differentlyāand that sounds much more interesting than one morality slider.
Most real-time construction timers annoy me. No Man's Sky is the exception.
The wait gives me permission to explore, run missions, or work on my baseāthen return to a world that kept moving without me. That rhythm fits Switch 2 surprisingly well.
1001 Threads of Mizan was my favorite new-game discovery at Gamescom.
Itās a one-to-three-player action-adventure inspired by 1001 Nights and Arabian mythology: flying carpets, enormous jinn, exploration, combat, and drop-in co-op. Planned for 2027.
MW4ās campaign beta surprised me on Switch 2. The image gets soft in docked mode, but itās absolutely playableāand worth checking out if Switch 2 is where you prefer to play.

10 minutes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 single-player beta gameplay on Nintendo Switch 2. No commentary, no musicājust the original game audio.
Played docked; 1080p/30 fps describes the capture output, not internal rendering or a benchmark. Pre-release footage.
Warlock isnāt translating tabletop D&D into another Baldurās Gate 3. Combat is real-time: no dice rolls, traditional party, or spell-slot management driving the action.
Creative D&D magic, without needing your groupās rules lawyer.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation is launching on Switch 2 in spring 2027 on the same day as every other confirmed platform.
That matters. Nintendoās new hardware is starting to look like part of the main third-party launch planānot the late port.
Assassinās Creed Shadows isnāt the prettiest on Switch 2ābut it may be the version Iāll actually play. Portability changed the decision for me. Which platform would you choose? Full review: youtu.be/EbS0flnmSL8
I think FFXIV probably does crafting better than every other MMO. Every profession feels like its own class, gets its own gear sets, and makes you actively participate through this little minigame whenever you craft. Itās so much fun.
What I'm playing this week:
⢠Skyrim: fought necromancers, got lost.
⢠Oblivion: met trolls, accidentally entered a turn-based RPG.
⢠No Man's Sky: found an ugly little rodent thing. Ohāand a giant squid.
What are you playing?
Oh, the places youāll go on Switch 2: ancient Japan, alien worlds, forgotten Nordic ruins, and the back streets of Cyrodiilāall on one portable device. I donāt think Iāll ever stop being impressed by how much variety fits in this little thing.
ALT Assassinās Creed Shadows character standing in an autumn forest in ancient Japan on Nintendo Switch 2.
ALT No Manās Sky traveler wearing a binocular-like helmet at a futuristic alien settlement beneath a cloudy night sky on Nintendo Switch 2.
ALT Skyrim adventurer facing a carved golden door inside an ancient Nordic ruin on Nintendo Switch 2.
ALT Khajiit adventurer in red robes holding a torch on a dim city street in Oblivion Remastered on Nintendo Switch 2.
The Witcher 3's dedicated Switch 2 remaster launches September 29āand owners of the original Switch version get the upgrade free.
Easily my biggest Switch 2 announcement from Gamescom Opening Night Live.
Gamescom made one thing clear: the Switch 2 is already being treated like a current-gen platform.
The Witcher 3 Remastered, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, 1001 Threads of Mizan, Stage Tour, Turok Originsāand plenty more.
Hereās what stood out to me.
Gamescom is bringing Fable, Gears of War: E-Day, FFVII Revelation and The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past. Meanwhile console prices keep climbing, and FFXIV's Rising gives new Switch 2 players a way into one of the MMO's oldest traditions. #GamingNews
A poisonous planet. An almost transparent giant squid. Some deeply unfortunate space rodents.
No Manās Sky is very good at turning āIāll explore for ten minutesā into an entire storyāand that is exactly why I like it on Switch 2.
I bounced off No Manās Sky near launch because its universe felt enormous without feeling lived in.
On Switch 2, the story, settlements, base building, and real-time timers finally gave me reasons to care where I was.
This is why the game finally clicked for me.
I really enjoy No Manās Sky on Switch 2. Carrying an entire universe around feels miraculous.
But man, Iād gladly give the loading screen a few extra seconds if it meant the planet didnāt have to finish assembling itself around me afterward. It does this on most startups.
Oblivion Remastered on Switch 2 sent me back to Skyrim.
Not because Oblivion is badāhaving both games portable is absurdābut one gloriously unstable troll fight reminded me why Skyrimās world keeps pulling me into adventures I never planned.
Which one would you choose?
Oblivion Remastered on Switch 2 briefly becomes a turn-based RPG. Very considerate of it to give me time to think.
That pause isnāt an editāthe screen actually froze.
Final Fantasy XIV on Switch 2 isnāt impressive because itās old.
Itās impressive because the whole MMO now fits on hardware the size of a tabletāand portability has changed how I play.
Quick crafting. Docked MSQ sessions. The world fits into the gaps now.
Oblivion on Switch 2 is good news wrapped in a rough port. Interiors can look great; outside, frame drops are frequentāeven docked.
A repeatable crash forced me to abandon the Kvatch gate.
Buy it for portable Oblivion, not as the definitive version.
