HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, DACORUM, MOSQUE APPLICATION TO DOUBLE IN CAPACITY
I have been asked to help resist Baytus Salaam mosque’s planning application to more than double its floorspace, from 302.95 m² to 611.2 m².
The applicant’s own Transport Statement forecasts around 375 worshippers across two Friday prayer sessions, arriving and leaving over a concentrated 35 minute period, yet states that the mosque has no dedicated on-site parking.
This is an estate within an established residential neighbourhood, where parking and access are already shared. Residents have identified serious issues about parking, traffic, operating hours, noise and loss of amenity, especially disruption from early morning and overnight religious use.
I am asking you for donations toward the out-of-pocket expenses of £2,000 to resist it.

As usual, none of the money goes to me but to the costs of fighting this application.
