Update: There’s still huge spread in where Rachel is forecast to landfall this weekend, from northern Baja as far north as LA County. That track will determine how severe the impacts are across Southern California: heavy rain, coastal flooding, wind, and dangerous surf, or little to no rain at all.
Hurricane Rachel could bring significant impacts to SoCal Sunday into Monday, including coastal flooding from high tides and surf, potentially heavy rain and gusty winds as it transitions into a post-tropical storm.
This is a highly unpredictable forecast, so expect changes.
