Whether BB or The Wire is #1 truly depends on which way the wind is blowing that day. Can’t think of any other series whose cities are just as compelling as the characters. And for BB, it’s just as compelling on the 3rd watch as the 1st. It’s that good.
Breaking Bad is a great show on the first ride. But adrenaline wears off and it gets thinner every rewatch. Especially compared to layered work like The Wire and Mad Men

The substitution of a traditional W-2 job for streaming and content creation (especially among Gen Z) is pretty fascinating. I do wonder how much that particular segment is impacted by the sluggish economy. It’s not like streaming services can lay them off.
