Astra’s habit of staring at people with long, unbroken eye contact tends to be what freaks them out the most.
Astra’s weird eyes were actually a result of partial sanitization/OE shenanigans. Pre-OE Astra was still weird but looked more “normal”

Probably the most notable physical feature of Astra are her eyes. She has large, round eyes and small pupils. Her eyes (occasionally) pulse with a hypnotic pattern. Astra never closes her eyes at all, they’re permanently open.

Astra very notably is. Weird. Honestly she always has been. She’s actually very outgoing, but her somewhat unsettling nature makes a lot of people steer clear of her. +

Also fun fact but Min is actually the only inkling oc I have that isn’t a member of the family Ommastrephidae! All my other inklings are flying squids (ommastrephids).
However she is a Thysanoteuthid which makes her a Cranchioid like the others

Also as you can see Iota doesn’t own their Hero Headset anymore. They had thrown it out after OE where it then came into the possession of TP. Iota is under the impression that the headset was lost or destroyed so probably wouldn’t like seeing it again.

Probably like a Salty Tongue that has some sort of allergy(?) to Spirhalite so instead of consuming it it just gets sneezed out. Maybe that sneeze can replace the Salty Tongue lunge as a ranged attack or smth

I remember I had an idea a bit ago for a Splatoon Raiders Salmonid character that was based partially off marine iguanas. Mainly due to their habit of “sneezing” out salt and it accumulating on their heads.
Probably would be a Salty Tongue or something..

Miki and Cloche are able to serve as Stetson’s “eyes” though. Their smaller size and ability to float(?) makes them better spies than Stetson himself (who is quite large).
Honestly they’re kinda like Flotsam and Jetsam from The Little Mermaid.

Rami is the one who actually makes the gear, and Tp actually occasionally runs deliveries for them (it’s a whole thing I might get into later). TP has an alt outfit for this job mostly to avoid being recognized.

Rami is a little unique amongst Splatsville residents for being an amphibian. Rami is specifically a “dirty leucistic” axolotl.
Also the name “Rami” comes from the term for an axolotl’s gill stalks, but is also a regular name

Rami is an axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum) and a tailor!! Rami primarily makes/alters clothing for the various different species in Splatsville, custom making clothing that’s able to fit their unique bodies. +

Torch corals come in many different colors/morphs due to their popularity in aquariums! Aika specifically is a Black Panther color morph! She is also able to fluoresce under the right light!!

Unlike the flyingfish of today, Soarrel is capable of true powered flight!! Flyingfishes of this era have mostly converged on the body types of birds. Despite a non-humanoid body plan, Soarrel is just as sapient as everyone else!
