I have decided I am running for local office.
Everyone knows me in a few ways and a few cities and so as much as I want to hang there I can not spend the whole month in the city I most likely already win. Probably takes me less to win these people over.
Everyone does this. Find the city that loves you, camp there, ride it out. Feels safe. Feels efficient.
Never win by a landslide this way.
Election is 4 weeks away.
The move is: spend the first 3 weeks in cities i haven’t been to to speak.
Different demo, different message, different objections. I will look worse than my home turf. That’s not failure. Nobody converts on week 1 with an untuned pitch.
But hopefully I can dial it in and start to win some people over and next time around it’s even easier for me to win more people on a bigger election stage.
Now- Week 4 is different. Now you know which new cities actually have upside. You go back to your proven cities AND the new ones that earned it, and you hammer all of it with the sharpest message you’ve built.
That’s how you win by a landslide and start to slowly grow into new cities without losing your home turf.
The founders who lose are the ones who never left their home city. They win bigger every cycle in a shrinking map, because they stopped finding new ground before the old ground dried up.

Home city = your one proven creative angle.
New cities = new hooks, new angles, new avatars you haven’t tested yet.
This is the entire case for testing creatives in ABO before you ever let CBO touch them.
Manual budget forces every new angle to get its 3 weeks, even when day 1 numbers look bad. CBO kills them on day 2 because the algorithm only trusts what’s already converting.
Test in ABO.
Scale the winners in CBO.
That’s the cycle.
Yes there is a right answer to the question and this is it.
