A Newport News judge unsealed nearly three minutes of bodycam from January 6, 2023, after The Virginian-Pilot and Daily Press challenged a sealing order.
Teacher Abby Zwerner had just started an afternoon reading class in Classroom 11 when he pulled a gun from his jacket and fired from about 10 feet away.
Reading specialist Amy Kovac was still holding him in a bear hug when Officer Brian Torrez’s camera came in.
