Dear NASCAR, Do you remember me? I’m the little half-mile track tucked away in South Carolina where generations of racers learned their craft. My grandstands once echoed with the sound of cheering families. My walls still carry the names of champions. My pavement helped shape the sport you became. For years, I’ve sat quietly. The weeds have grown. My paint has faded. My gates have stayed closed. But my story isn’t over. A community refused to let me disappear. Volunteers fought for me. Fans signed petitions. Former drivers spoke my name. People who grew up in my grandstands still believe I’m worth saving. Now I’m asking you… Don’t let one of your most historic speedways become another memory. Help me become a place where kids discover racing for the first time. Where families make new traditions. Where tomorrow’s NASCAR stars take their first laps. Where history isn’t demolished—it lives on. I gave so much to this sport. I’m only asking for one chance to give again. Sincerely, Greenville Pickens Speedway P.S. History doesn’t ask to be remembered. It asks to be protected. I would love a meeting and an opportunity to discuss the plans I have . I think you would find them quite intriguing . “@NASCAR… will you answer?” #nascar #motorsports #autoracing #racing #womeninmotorsports @MarcusSMI @BenKennedy33 @BillElliott9 @dennyhamlin @DaleJr @MW55 @chaseelliott @TravisKvapil @DirtyMoMedia @PRNAtTheTrack @MattWeaverRA
