nintendo is wasting the potential of the ringcon. ringfit adventure is ok but honestly a bit too repetitive and basic of a game. they should just make an addictive garlic-like/"bullet heaven" where you control with the ring and leg strap. like what the heck are they doing
that was my thought after getting too sucked into megabonk. we need to find better smarter ways to integrate physical exercise directly into our (my) addictions. i feel all gamified exercise ive come across treats game design like an afterthought, which defeats the purpose imo...
me, sleeping in way too late as one does during holiday break, disorientingly going in and out of consciousness, while "Focus, M..." loops feverishly in my head through half-baked dreams
im finally playing through FF7 for the first time -- i've been interested to see just how it's changed and stayed the same from FF6's overall vibe and direction. what i wasn't anticipating though was feeling a lot of similarities to SMRPG (which makes sense all things considered)
i like to be flexible with the term "nostalgia", because i feel like im very prone to good, strong, fundamentally unique feelings *after* they've moved on from being my norm -- it's when i come back to revisit them where i'm surprised by just how richly defined that zone is
take UFO 50 for instance. that is one of those rare games where i was super looking forward to it for the years we knew of it, and not only does it continue to meet my expectations, but i've also developed a "nostalgia" since i last played it (it really FEELS like last winter)
-- regardless of the fact that i started playing last christmas, and i haven't even completed it yet... all the better for me. it's why i don't blame people for using nostalgia so loosely. to me it just means "feelings carved into a deeper part of yourself by the passage of time"
