"Brain and brain, what is brain?" OTD 1968, the premiere of the VERY classic Star Trek episode "Spock's Brain." Some call it the worst episode of The Original Series while others consider it a so-bad-it's-good favorite, and everyone remembers it. What's your take? #StarTrek

It’s not good. But there are worse tos episodes. Like “The Alternative Factor” for one example.

Definitely so bad it's good. MASSIVE kudos to the cast, for not only keeping a straight face throughout, but giving it their all, as they always did.

I love all the episodes. Even the implausible or silly ones. They were original and took risks

Although this is so bad it's watchable compared to and the children shall lead which is surprisingly the only one I hate and not in a fun way either

I actually liked it. Especially at the end when Bones said he should have never reconnected his vocal cords.

Strange New Worlds has risen to the task of making this look like Citizen Kane.

Seriously nothing is as bad as Plato’s Stepchildren.

It's a fun episode. And I imagine it was viewed as such by Joe Public back in the day. I know it was just another episode to me back in 70s.

No, the one where Kirk was being chased by a giant cat through a medieval castle basement was the worst.

Definitely bad, but there is stiff competition for the Worst title for TOS.. Space Hippies, Kirk Body Swaps, KIROK!, Miri, Apollo, Hail Hail fire and snow, call Melvin Belli and he will go, The Yang, and so on..

The Empath is the worst episode with Spock’s Brain a close second.

There is no episode worse than “And the Children Shall Lead.”

The ones with Gem, the annoying kids following the lawyer, and the space hippies are worse.

I kinda appreciate how much they leaned into the stupid on this one.

I thought it was the worst episode of the whole franchise, until SNW came up with the puppet episode. Also last Friday's episode of SNW with the fairy tale planet comes a close second. So sorry and disappointed at this season of SNW...

Really not good but I wouldn't necessarily say it's the worst. Unfortunately there's quite a few from that last season of a similar quality.

This is not a particularly bad episode of Star Trek. Even in TOS, they have an episode where they meet Greek gods. Clearly to cheap out and because the studio had left over props.

It's worst crimes are being very boring and very serious - so it's pretty typical of S3 - Way to Eden is worse though
