For some reason, people play life and business like it's a zero-sum game. For something to win, they need something else to lose. An entire industry apparently has to be fading so they can justify being excited about another one. AI domains and assets can flourish while .coms continue to grow in value. There are more businesses being built, more ideas being tested, and more people with the tools to turn those ideas into something real. You can be excited about what AI creates without harping on the routines and things it eradicates Social media can be one of the most important parts of marketing and still make a great domain more valuable. Getting attention and having a memorable place to send that attention work together. I don't understand the need to turn every tool, platform, or asset into a fight over which one makes the others irrelevant. I've seen more people calling tops and declaring the end of cycles than ever before. They're telling me exactly what the future holds when I'm not convinced they understand what's happening right now. And once they've made the prediction, they seem more interested in defending it than taking advantage of the opportunities in front of them. My opinion has always been that I'd rather be a little late and lean into what's working than spend all my time trying to predict the exact beginning or end. I don't need to catch the first dollar or the last one. There's plenty of money in the middle, and I'm happy to make mine there.

More buyers want to pay for domains in crypto. So we now accept direct USDC and USDT, up to $1M. No third-party account, no approval steps. A lot of capital sits in stablecoins. Making it easy to spend on a domain opens up a new pool of buyers. Direct stablecoin payouts to sellers next.

Ray Dalio: "There'll be a supply-demand issue for the US debt." The US needs to refinance $8 trillion of debt soon while running a 6% deficit. Investors know the deficit won't come down and the US will inflate its debt away. So nobody wants to hold US debt at lower yields.
Yields just won't stop. You know it's bad when bond market is quite literally ignoring the US Treasury. 24 hours later and the 10Y Note Yield is now pushing into 4.80%, its highest since January 2025. That's another +20 basis points since the low seen after the US Treasury's intervention announcement 13 days ago. In a sudden turn of events, 7% mortgages are back, the 10Y Note Yield is nearing 5%, and markets are expecting a September rate hike. This marks a +85 basis point run in the 10Y Note Yield since the Iran War began. Once again, the US simply cannot afford the 10Y Note Yield at 5% for a sustained period of time. We expect further attempts at intervention immediately. But, the question becomes: will markets listen?

I think a big part of the future of domain names is family offices and venture funds buying and holding the best names like any other appreciating asset. Michael Saylor saw the value in premium domains long before he bought bitcoin:native. If VC firms put the same thought into acquiring domains that they put into investing in companies, they would be buying names today that could give their future businesses instant credibility, recognition, and reach. You don’t need a company ready to launch to justify owning a great domain. Secure the name, hold it, and put it to work when the right opportunity comes along. The right domain can appreciate while you wait, then become an advantage for whatever you build next. We have a few VC's working with us at @winterline buying names for a portfolio of future projects now. Surprised how reactionary most are
Yesterday, rumors circulated that Go. ai might be sold for a staggering $5 million USD. Today, DN.com, in collaboration with @domain, assisted a Hong Kong domain fund in acquiring 10 LL. ai domains from James. We hope the domains we invest in for our clients will appreciate significantly in the future! Domain investment is becoming an increasingly certain investment direction. Hong Kong has over 1000 family offices, and DN aims to serve 100 of them in the future, allocating over $1 billion USD in domain assets to these family offices! Therefore, if you have good domain names, feel free to publish them on DN.com! We have a growing number of end-user and large investment clients here! Domain World Conference : x.com/domainworldcon
