OPPORTUNISTIC CAR THIEF CAUGHT QUICKLY On September 25, 2026, we arrested 25-year-old Curtis Michael Conner for Larceny of an Automobile after we caught him driving a stolen 2022 Honda Civic. The whole thing started in the morning when a resident near 3rd and Lewis reported his gray Honda Civic stolen. The victim said his wife accidentally left the vehicle keys in the front door of their home after returning from work. This was too enticing for nefarious characters. Later that morning around 10:50 a.m., the Tulsa Police Real Time Information Center (RTIC) spotted the stolen vehicle through ALPR near 6500 E. Admiral Pl. and tracked it as it pulled into the Rest Inn at 7475 E. Admiral Pl. Officers quickly flooded the area and took Conner into custody without incident as he walked toward the entry gate. After being read his Miranda Rights, Conner chose to speak with officers and gave a brutally honest reason for the theft: "Honestly, I, my feet fu***ng got blisters on. I'm tired of walking and fu***ng, I seen the opportunity and you know, the key, the keys was outside the car. I seen it and I took the opportunity. I took it. You know it straight up. I'm straight up." The stolen Honda Civic was returned to its rightful owner. Conner was transported and booked into the David L. Moss for Larceny of an Automobile with a bond set at $1,000. BURGLARY SUSPECT SHOT - Ex-boyfriend shot after scaling apartment balcony Yesterday, around 8:51 a.m., Tulsa Police Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at an apartment near 66th Pl. and Victor Ave. The victim said her ex-boyfriend was at her door threatening to break in if she didn’t open up. The victim was inside with her child and current boyfriend, who warned the suspect against coming in. The suspect scaled the apartment balcony and tried to get in through a window. In response, the current boyfriend shot the suspect once in the leg. Officers arrived to find the suspect bleeding on the victim’s balcony. Officers applied a tourniquet, and paramedics arrived to take him to the hospital. When he’s released, the suspect will be booked into the Tulsa County Jail for First Degree Burglary. SPEEDER GIVES ONE-FINGER SALUTE, GOES TO JAIL Yesterday, around 9 a.m., a Tulsa Police Officer on patrol saw the driver of a silver Dodge Charger going 100 mph in a 65 mph zone on Highway 169 near Pine. The Officer got behind the driver and activated his lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop. The driver of the Charger slowed down, then stuck his favorite finger out of his sunroof before speeding off again. Another Officer got behind him and received the same treatment. Despite his unwarranted gestures, Officers terminated the pursuit for the safety of other drivers. Officers looked up his tag information to identify the driver as 54-year-old Daelon Jacobs. Our Real Time Information Center then used Automatic License Plate Readers (ALPR) to quickly track down Jacobs near 21st and Garnett. This time, Jacobs pulled over but refused Officers’ commands to get out of his car. After several minutes of back-and-forth negotiations and pulling away from Officers trying to take him into custody, Jacobs was placed under arrest. He confidently informed officers that we lacked jurisdiction over him because of his tribal status, making him entirely immune to arrest — a bold misconception that clearly fueled his decision to flee in the first place. He was able to get a real-time lesson in how cross-jurisdiction enforcement works. Officers learned that Jacobs was contracted to deliver medications to hospice patients. Officers picked up the rest of his route and made sure the medications made it to the right people. Jacobs was booked into the Tulsa County Jail for: - Endangering Others While Eluding a Police Officer - Obstruction - Resisting This is an arrest, not a conviction.

CAR BURGLAR CAUGHT IN THE ACT - Detectives catch suspect mid-break-in Earlier this month, Burglary Detectives started investigating a string of car break-ins at city parks. Victims reported their cars being broken into at Manion, Whiteside, and Langenheim. Shortly after the break-ins, victims’ stolen credit cards began racking up charges at local convenience stores. Detectives identified the suspect as 56-year-old Keith Overstreet — a known offender when it comes to car burglaries. Overstreet has previously been arrested and convicted in burglary/stolen credit card cases, and is the suspect in recent incidents dating back to July. Our Burglary Detectives started doing some super secret sleuth work and put in the hours to locate and apprehend Overstreet. Yesterday around 4:15 p.m., Detectives went to Whiteside Park and saw Overstreet arrive and park next to an unoccupied car with multiple cards in the cup holder. He opened the car door, took the cards, and drove off. Officers followed Overstreet and initiated a traffic stop. He was taken into custody without incident. Overstreet denied being at the park or breaking into any vehicles. He was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for five counts of Third-Degree Burglary and four counts of Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card. This is an arrest, not a conviction.

SERIAL SHOPLIFTER - Woman using wig for repeated thefts arrested On September 15, 2026, Tulsa Police Officers responded to a call about a suspect in custody at Scheels near 71st and Memorial. The retailer’s asset protection staff had 28-year-old Alexandra Byrd with hundreds of dollars in merchandise tucked away in her bag. Staff recognized Byrd from past reported thefts, including appearances she made in a wig. Stolen items included Nike athletic clothing, multiple bluetooth speakers, and accessories. Officers found the same wig in her bag, and she admitted to this theft and previous thefts she was accused of. Officers arrested Byrd and booked her into the Tulsa County Jail for Organized Retail Crime and Larceny from a Retailer. This is an arrest, not a conviction.

ROBBERY AT UTICA SQUARE - Suspect arrested Yesterday, around 2:30 p.m., Tulsa Police Officers responded to an armed robbery call at the Walgreens near 21st and Utica. Employees at the location said a man with a hospital gown around his neck came in and handed them a note demanding oxycodone. He then grabbed at his waistband to imply he had a gun until employees gave him several pills. Witnesses then saw him run off toward the nearby hospital. Officers arrived and set up a perimeter to search the area, but the suspect had already left. Officers found the suspect, 41-year-old Zachary Hynes, sitting near the BA Expressway exit ramp near 15th. Hynes was taken into custody without incident, and Officers found the stolen medication on the ground next to him. Hynes was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for Robbery with a Firearm. HOMICIDE – Two people hit, one dead after shooting outside Arby’s Yesterday, around 4:35 p.m., Tulsa Police Officers responded to a shooting outside the Arby’s near Admiral and Sheridan. Officers arrived to find two victims, both with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital. Victims: 46-year-old Michael Williams was shot multiple times. 31-year-old female passenger was shot once. The suspect, 20-year-old Dezmin Day, fled before Officers arrived. However, witnesses at the scene helped Officers identify the SUV Day was driving, and Officers found him driving downtown. Officers initiated a traffic stop and took Day into custody without incident. Officers searched the SUV and found a pistol under the driver’s seat. The pistol’s serial number had been filed off. Homicide Detectives interviewed Day, who said the shooting stemmed from a road-rage incident between him and one of the victims. Video from the area shows Day pulling into the Arby’s parking lot and blocking in 46-year-old Michael Williams, who was parked in a space. Williams got out of his car, unarmed, to confront Day, and Day shot him. Day fired several times, including at Williams’s passenger, who had also gotten out of the car. Williams died as a result of the shooting. His passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Day was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for Second-Degree Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. This is an arrest, not a conviction.

WANTED - Detectives searching for armed robbery suspect Our Robbery Unit is looking for help finding 33-year-old Joshua Dailey in connection with an armed robbery last month. On August 5, 2026, around 10 p.m., Officers responded to the call at the Dollar General near Pine and N. Lansing Ave. The suspect robbed one of the employees of his phone at gunpoint and left before Officers arrived. The suspect took someone else’s bicycle from outside and took off. Officers later found the bicycle near Edenwood Apartments. Detectives later identified Joshua Dailey as the suspect in this case, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. FATAL MOTORCYCLE CRASH On September 13, 2026, around 2:03 a.m., Tulsa Police Officers responded to a collision on the ORU campus. A security guard called 911 after finding a motorcycle crashed into a drainage ditch near the northeastern roadway onto campus. The motorcycle rider, 38-year-old Courtney Shaw, was found unresponsive next to the motorcycle. Shaw was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation suggests Shaw was heading westbound out to Lewis Ave. when he lost control of the bike, clipped the base of a light pole, and flipped into the ditch. Heavy rains at the time could have played a role, but the crash is still under investigation.

UNSUCCESSFUL ATV GETAWAY - Suspect found casually driving stolen SUV after theft On September 12, 2026, around 8:48 a.m., Tulsa Police Officers took a report from a victim who said someone stole his ATV from his home near 13th and 101st East Ave. The victim said he kept his ATV on his back porch within his fenced backyard. When he got up this morning, he saw the chain on his gate was cut and the door was open. His ATV was gone. As one Officer wrapped up taking the report, another Officer saw a man just a couple of blocks away from the victim’s home driving an ATV that matched the description of the victim’s property. The suspect was swaying back and forth across Skelly when Officers initiated a traffic stop. The ATV was missing the victim’s previously attached plow and toolbox, the serial number was scratched off, and the ignition was damaged. The suspect, 33-year-old Irvin Douglas, was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. This is an arrest, not a conviction.

SHOOTING - Teen shot in the face expected to survive Yesterday, around 12:41 p.m., Tulsa Police Officers responded to a shooting at an apartment near 68th and Yale. Officers arrived to find a 17-year-old with multiple gunshot wounds, including one to his face. Officers began treatment for the victim until paramedics could take him to the hospital. The shooting stemmed from an argument inside one of the apartments between the victim and 33-year-old Brittney White. Both White and the victim were armed and started struggling over their guns. White ended up getting a hold of both guns and fired at the victim as he tried to get away. He was hit several times, but is expected to survive his injuries. White came out of the apartment when Officers arrived and turned over both guns. She has previous felony convictions and should not have been in possession of a firearm. Officers arrested White and booked her into the Tulsa County Jail for Shooting with Intent to Kill AFCF (After Former Conviction of a Felony) and Possession of a Firearm AFCF. 3-YEAR-OLD SHOOTS SELF WITH STOLEN GUN Around 4:51 p.m., Tulsa Police Officers responded to the fire station near 15th and 73rd East Ave. for a shooting victim. The fire crew told Officers that two people came up to them holding a 3-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the leg. Firefighters started treating the child until paramedics could arrive and take him to the hospital. One of the men who brought him to the station, 20-year-old Keilin Thompson, said he is the boy’s father. Thompson told Officers that the shooting happened at his home near 7th and 71st East Ave. He said he set his son down in his bedroom where he keeps a gun, and then walked outside to take a phone call. Shortly after stepping outside, Thompson said he heard the sound of a gunshot coming from inside the house. When he went back inside, he found his son with a gunshot wound and his gun lying on the bed. Thompson took his son to the fire station for help before he was taken to the hospital. The boy’s injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. Officers went to the house where the shooting happened and found the gun still lying on the bed. It had been reported stolen out of Bartlesville. Child Crisis Detectives interviewed Thompson, and he was arrested for Child Neglect and Knowingly Concealing Stolen Property. STALKING - Several violations of protective order lead to arrest Yesterday, around 4 p.m., Tulsa Police Officers responded to a call about a man violating a protective order and stalking a woman. The victim said 43-year-old Mason Sears was on her property near 33rd and Braden Ave., banging on the back door. This was the latest in a handful of protective-order violations in recent days. Sears had shown up at the home multiple times, leaving notes and attempting to make contact with the victim. He fled before Officers arrived yesterday, but was found walking near 38th and Canton Ave. Sears started running away, but Officers caught up to him and took him into custody. Sears was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for Stalking and Obstructing an Officer. This is an arrest, not a conviction.

KIDNAPPING ARREST - Suspect took child from shopping cart Yesterday, around 5:08 p.m., Tulsa Police Officers responded to a kidnapping report at the Walmart near 68th and Memorial. A woman said she was shopping at the store when a man came up to her, briefly talked about her two kids, and then took her 1-year-old child out of her shopping cart. The man put the child in his own shopping cart and started walking away. The woman said she confronted him and took her child back, then locked herself and her children in the store’s bathroom to call for help. Walmart kicked the suspect out of the store and called 911. Officers arrived and found a man matching the suspect's description sitting at a nearby bus stop. When asked about the reported abduction, 50-year-old Marshall Dixon told Officers, “Yeah, I did that.” Dixon was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for Kidnapping. TEEN SHOT - Detectives looking for help identifying suspect On September 6, 2026, around 12:06 a.m., Tulsa Police Officers responded to a shooting at Sandy Park Apartments near 11th Pl. and 61st West Ave. Officers arrived to find a crowd of people tending to a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the chest. Paramedics took over the victim’s care and took him to the hospital. Multiple witnesses reported hearing gunshots, but no one could provide any suspect information.
