Imposter syndrome is an academic normal and should not be. In industry, I had imposter syndrome only in my first year of working. Many years into academia, however, and I am still feeling it. This is simply unacceptable. #impostersyndrome #phdchat #AcademicTwitter

Furthermore, it is embarrassing that people who feel it are the ones often blamed, that it cripples their personal life in a way that creates a negative feedback loop of feeling failure, and that academia is silent about it. #phdchat #AcademicTwitter #impostersyndrome

I often feel I my knowledge will never be as deep as xxxx. I am in awe of the questions colleagues and peers ask, of their sharpe critique etc. I try and take comfort that they have years working in the field. Keeping perspective is part of the battle
