To piggyback off of this, I don’t even put emotion into personal waivers and lineup setting anymore. I spend time on my rankings and use those to make decisions for me.
The work I do throughout the week and the rankings and advice I give out are exactly how I manage my own teams.
So if you took my advice, we’re riding together for better or worse. My bad calls haunt me because it impacts my teams but mostly because it affects the trust my audience has in me.
To insinuate that fantasy football analysts don’t care or that their results would be any different than their audience’s displays a complete lack of knowledge regarding how this industry works.
All that to be said, you should go with your gut. At the end of the day, you’re managing the teams. We’re just sharing information.
Saw this comment today referencing “fantasy analysts” and I couldn’t disagree more. If I give bad advice, it hangs over my week a lot more than anything I get right. If someone takes the time to seek my advice, it means I’ve built up trust. A “miss” is a betrayal of said trust.

📊 Since everyone wants to pile on @Cameron7Ward right now, I decided to actually look at the numbers.
I compared Cam’s first 18 NFL starts to Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Trevor Lawrence and Bryce Young.
And I added one more name Titans fans know pretty well: Steve McNair.
And guess what?
Cam has the fewest interceptions of the entire group and his 80.2 passer rating is essentially tied with Titans legend Steve McNair’s 80.4 through their first 18 starts.
McNair: 18 TD, 13 INT, 80.4 rating
Ward: 16 TD, 7 INT, 80.2 rating
Air McNair went on to become an NFL MVP.
I know I don’t have a radio show or a podcast, but I do know how numbers and reality work.
Young quarterbacks take time to develop. Instead of jumping on the hate bandwagon because it’s fashionable, know the facts.
