The fact is the Man City ownership is quite admirable even with all the cheating. Yes they inflated sponsorship deals to generate revenue which was tapped directly from state funding. That’s clearly cheating & deserve punishment. But what’s admirable about is their ambition + competence. It’s not just as easy as, spend money = success. Man Utd & Chelsea have spent more money than Man City in the past 10 yrs & have not been half as successful. Those running Man City are geniuses for how they’ve been able to build one of the most stable, commercially viable & successful clubs in the world today. Football needs more people like them rather than people like Clearlake & Ineos. If you gave the Man United funds & privilges to people like Ferran Soriono & his team, today Man United would be the best club in Europe.
