Breaking: Successful defensive gun use in Houston area this morning.
A suspect was shot during a burglary. The wounded suspect ran to the car wash for help and was eventually hospitalized.
Was he justified? No charges have yet to be filed.

First off, police are basically all good people. "But how do you know!?" Um, because they were background checked by the government. Background checks WORK!
Also, they're trained. Not just with dangerous guns but to de-escalate, be respectful, and not to deceive people. This blends into their personal lives.
Therefore, I have decided that this story cannot be true. And if it were true, he would apologize for his errors, and he would prosecuted. But he hasn't apologized and he isn't in jail.
So he must be telling the truth. Even though he resigned. Okay?!

I once had an officer pull a gun on me because they saw me put a pellet rifle in my brother's truck bed. I wasn't even holding it.
Related: in August this year, this man pointed his pellet rifle at an officer. She fired on him, missing completely. He was later arrested.

This video was just released today. Securing the weapon is one of the most critical steps in the immediate aftermath of a shooting because a wounded suspect may still pose a lethal threat if their firearm remains within reach.
