A great (and very hot) week in Philly for #NATA2026, filled with moderating sessions, reconnecting with program alumni, media interviews about the heat wave, fun with colleagues, and ideas for new research collaborations
With this week's extreme heat, staying safe is more important than ever. ☀️ In a recent article, #UBSPHHP's Luke Pryor shares expert tips on preventing heat stroke, from staying hydrated to gradually acclimating to exercising in the heat. Read more: ms.spr.ly/6012vslds
The heat wave is here on the East Coast with temperatures reaching triple digits. The HEAT Lab’s Dr. Riana Pryor was on WGRZ to remind everyone to stay hydrated and know signs of heat illnesses #UBuffalo#UBSPHHPwgrz.com/video/news/latest-n…
A triple digit heat wave is hitting the northeast US this week. Check on your neighbors, stay hydrated, sleep on lower levels of the home, double check backseats of cars for kids, don’t leave pets in cars, even for short trips into a store. Stay cool!
New article alert! Congrats to Liz Lavoie, a CRESE doctoral student, for determining that even a 3 mile ruck march reduces leg strength, but not power, especially in females.

Thank you to Dr Hostler for hosting the CRESE research team for a fall backyard BBQ at the farm. Looking forward to seeing our projects through and the new upcoming studies from this excellent research team. #research#collaboration
Congratulation to Dr Dave Hostler on being promoted to UB Distinguished Professor. He is the #CRESE Director and leads the charge in securing Navy funding for our center.
Starting this semester out right and enjoying this beautiful weather with a cookout at the Pryors. Since we study different environments we ought to enjoy it too! Welcome to our new #HEATLab trainees!
Seeing our alumni succeed is such a rewarding part of the job. Drs. Pryor and Vandermark ran into Lydia while camping in Ithaca. We are excited to hear how her first year goes! @Buffalo_AT#TransitionToPractice#alumni
