Yes, if you want to legitimize the result of a referendum intended to be legally binding you must run it as a legally binding referendum - with a requirement for a super-majority. Anything else is illegitimate!
Absolutely the right thing to do. But, any new vote must be free of foreign interference and money. It must also require the supermajority that the first one was missing. Nice one @Sandbach

I am elected to act in what I believe is in the best interests of my constituents. I have had the whip taken away from me. However there are critical times when you have to do what is right, no matter what the personal consequences. It is hard I won't pretend it isn't.
