Today, North Alabama Athletics joins our university and community in mourning the passing of Mr. Charles Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a loyal Lion, an extraordinary philanthropist, and a dear friend of North Alabama Athletics. Alongside his beloved wife, Hilda, he believed in the power of athletics to inspire, develop, and change the lives of young people. Their generosity and unwavering support have left a lasting mark on our department and will continue to impact Lion student-athletes for generations. The Hilda B. Anderson Softball Complex serves as a lasting tribute to their family’s commitment to women’s athletics and to the legacy Charles and Hilda created together at UNA. We are grateful for Mr. Anderson’s friendship, his servant heart, and his steadfast belief in North Alabama Athletics. His legacy will continue to be felt across our department for years to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Anderson family. 💜
