Wonderful to see UNICEF's former Executive Director, Henrietta Fore, celebrated by UNICEF International Council Members from the Afeyan family at the @AuroraPrize_ . We're grateful for such powerful and relentless champions of children, philanthropy and humanitarianism.
“Andrew Carnegie once said that the man who dies rich dies disgraced. The Aurora Prize carries that same spirit: that our wealth, our wisdom, our experience mean little unless we serve others.” At the 2025 Aurora Prize Ceremony, Henrietta H. Fore, Gratitude in Action Honoree, former Executive Director of UNICEF, and former Administrator of USAID, shared an inspiring message about the teamwork and determination that drive humanitarian progress — from farmers changing lives to health workers reaching the world’s most remote regions. Watch her powerful speech below.

Last year, UNICEF invested $770 million in American businesses across 37 states to procure RUTF, medicine and other humanitarian supplies. The RUTF to be manufactured, transported and delivered as part of this $93 million grant is entirely American-made.

But the needs remain immense. UNICEF will continue to deliver #ForEveryChild as it has for nearly 80 years. We look forward to continuing to work with our public donors, private sector partners and the U.S. government to reach every child with the support they need.

We're hearing reports from elected officials that funding for critical programs will be preserved. That is not true. This package zeroes out core resources for UNICEF—flexible funds that go to children in 190+ countries. Food aid, education, safe water. That is what's at stake.
This week, the Senate is expected to vote on a rescissions package that will reclaim Fiscal Year 2025 funding for critical humanitarian programs, including UNICEF. Your voice can make a difference. Please urge your Senators to protect funding for UNICEF: act.unicefusa.org/ofw8KoE
