We discussed how 🇪🇺 and 🇺🇳 can strengthen our joint work on some of the Mediterranean region’s most pressing challenges.
Together with @nmladenov, we also exchanged on our common efforts for Gaza. Humanitarian assistance and early recovery must advance in parallel. Our work with the @UN and @WorldBank on the Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment provides a common basis to move from assessing needs to supporting recovery.
We also exchanged on the Strait of Hormuz and the importance of safeguarding freedom of navigation and critical maritime routes.
