The Ukraine War in a nutshell: That part of Ukraine, Donbas, which has all of the oil materials, and also is where Ukraine was actually industrially developed is a part of Ukraine which has a primarily Russian speaking population people who still remain fundamentally loyal to the Russians. The hidden part of this story which no one never mentioned when they said "oh my God Ukraine would have to give up territory" is they don't know the history of this at all. Right after the coup, which we unfortunately ran with the British and the US in 2014 to throw out Ukraine's corrupt leaders. OBAMA was the President...says a LOT. During that coup is when those problems in the Donbas region actually started. The Ukrainian government is actually run by wild Neo Nazis and they basically said we're not obeying anything Kiev says and that started a civil war in which the people of the Donbas region, which the Ukrainians claim now. The people in the Donbas region said no and then they started shooting them. The Ukrainian military was deployed and they started a Civil War. That war continued right up to the time of the start of the special operation in fact the entire Ukrainian Army was right on that border of Donbas and was about to invade Russia. Putin had been very careful not to intercede directly on behalf of the region and kept asking them to stop and then finally he had no choice to intercede. It's Zelensky....HE is the one that needs to stop. Why isn't anyone talking about this in the media?? Many in our own Gov't (Libs) are bought and paid for by Ukraine and the Globalists. They want WW III and take down Trump.
