Please drop me a line if this could be you. If you can brave the snow ❄️Sweden is great and, ofc I'm biased, but we have a great group at @USR_Lab working on cool things relating to trustworthy human-machine interaction that we'd love you to be a part of ! /end 🧵

We are soon opening several postdoc positions in social robotics and human-robot interaction. If you are interested in hearing more about these and are now in Stockholm attending @HRI_Conference , come and speak with Ginevra Castellano and @KatieJWinkle 🤖
Attending @HRI_Conference and liking what you see of Sweden? We at @USR_Lab will be opening a couple of different postdoc positions in the near future - so if you have/will soon have your PhD and could see yourself here in Sweden for a couple of years, we want to talk to you!

So excited for this presentation on Feminist HRI from @KatieJWinkle!!! It's a fantastic piece of work that'll be foundational for so much work to come. I already taught in my robot ethics class this year. 🤩

What's this? A sneak peak of a peculiar poster about robot identity? Maybe you should come take a look at it at the #hri2023 LBR session 👀 @HRI_Conference

My amazing PhD student and collaborator @LuminantLux will present an LBR outlining sort of what we’re thinking / where we might be going with this robot identity stuff - make sure to go say hi if you’re attending this year’s @HRI_Conference!
Our latest 🤖short paper🤖:
A starting point for readers to understand the harms that can arise from less-than-mindful implementation of human-like identities in robots, and what we can do about them!
come talk to me about it @HRI_Conference LBR session 1 :) #HRI2023

Immensely grateful & excited to be main supervisor (for the first time!) to new @USR_Lab @UU_University PhD students Alessio and Lux, as we try to figure out what ‘trustworthy’ HRI means to us and how we can deliver it 🤖 diverse, ethical & persuasive social robots coming soon!
ALT A very happy, recently appointed assistant professor sits on a sofa holding a sign for Uppsala Social Robotics Lab. Next to her are a collection of robots and behind the sofa stand two newly recruited PhD students who thankfully also look happy to be here!
ALT In this one the students are sitting on the sofa each talking to one of the different robots while the assistant professor stands behind the sofa.
ALT And in this one the assistant professor lies exhausted on the sofa as the students look one triumphantly and or perplexed. Faculty life is already crazy.
