MLS 🇺🇸 U21 Impact Rankings
Julian Hall gets his 12th of the MLS season. Tsakiris adds his eighth assist and is back in time to maybe get a U23 call up. Cavan misses his second straight game. Peyton and Adri continue to play well.

If you are wondering who the next Alex Freeman level come up might be, Wesseh is a good bet. He might miss both U17 and U20 WC cycles, though he has a chance to get himself into the U20 WC discussion before next September. He just attended his first USYNT camp.
He was unheralded while at the Philly Union academy. Moved to Atlanta United's academy and progressed quietly before a breakout season in MLS Next Pro last year. From there he moved to Norway. He has all the tools to be a big time attacker for USMNT. He will be very high on my next 2008 top 20 list.
Gabriel Wesseh🇺🇸 (08) scores AGAIN💫
In Fredrikstad’s 5-2 cup victory over Ranheim the American scores Fredrikstad’s 5th and final goal.

I expect there will be many clubs interested.
Tottenham Hotspur are among a host of Premier League clubs tracking Villarreal right-back Alex Freeman, with @TEAMtalk understanding that Spurs have been particularly impressed by the American’s progress in Spain.

Co-sign. Really good. Currently at his first USYNT camp. Should be in every camp of significance going forward.
The best American prospect you have never heard about is Luke Dixon ('12) of Colorado Rapids.
Dixon was my #2 ranked 2012 headed into this season. He's hit a way higher level this Fall. He's been quite frankly dominant up a year and one of the best players in the U-16 division of MLS Next after hitting a significant growth spurt.
Dixon is up there amongst the best American midfield prospects of any age group. He's a total dawg and competitive force. So smart. Very good feet. Impressive athlete.
He was #28 in my Top 50 Prospects of any age group midyear and I think he will very likely be within the top 10 at the end of the year.

The US U-17 WC roster has been released. I don’t know officially when we will get the announcement, but I anticipate later this week.

He is probably a top five player in the USMNT pool now. If he keeps this up he will be at one of the big, big clubs — probably by next summer.
He never made a USYNT World Cup. He was never even in the mix. An example of why you bet on the profile and hope the rest of it comes.
I remember watching Alex Freeman's ('04, 🇺🇸) debut in the MLS, and I already thought that he was special
Amazing profile and skillset for a right back. He improved massively in one year, and he keeps getting better in Villarreal. One of the best in LaLiga

W/CM, Abdul Hamadi, Seattle Sounders
Hamadi is one of the most talented players on the ball in this class. He has footwork, creativity and decent athleticism. If he can learn how to impact the game more consistently, he has a really interesting future.

@ChuckMe92Soccer @usmntaut @ProspectsUsmnt @USSoccerColl @USBallersAbroad Papo didn't get RFEF approval in time to play u17 so played u16 again with a goal & 2 assists in front of head Spanish nat team scout 🤔 Penciled starter at u17 yesterday so hoping this coming weekend.
@ProspectsUsmnt @usmntaut @USSoccerColl @USBallersAbroad Papo Gordon with two goals in the Valencian Community u16 Select training in a 4-0 win in front of ATM, RM & Barca scouts among others. Playing up this weekend to u17 for Valencia.

Well that sucks.
Cavan Sullivan is OUT for tomorrow’s match against New England.
He sustained a knock during yesterday’s training session, which has since developed into an ankle injury that will keep him out of tomorrow’s match.

Every touch from Albert in this first half with the U23 has made it clear he’s a cut above the rest, even with Inacio and Reggiani playing. It makes no sense that he isn’t getting regular minutes with the first team, especially given the lack of dribblers in the squad.

Updated some content in the article. I missed that this was AJ Gonzalez's first USYNT camp and he deserves a shout. He has been playing up for RBNY's U18s all year. I have not had a chance to scout him yet this year, but excited to.
The 2011 USYNT camp has 10 debutants, some of which I am excited about and the overall roster construction is logical. The 2011 generation continues to show it's extensive depth.
