Two great VFLs, and now two permanent tributes in Neyland Stadium.
Doug Dickey and Phillip Fulmer both served Tennessee as head football coach and athletic director, giving so much to @UTKnoxville along the way. Their impact includes championships and traditions that still make Saturdays in Neyland unlike anywhere else. Great to see their legacies honored in the new Champions Corner!

Did you know Hoskins Library was once called UT’s Central Library when it opened in 1931? 📚
Nearly 100 years of history are inside these walls. It was great to tour Hoskins Library and the Carriage House at @utknoxville and get a behind-the-scenes look at the incredible collections, spaces and the great work being done by our ROTC programs.
Thanks to Dean of University Libraries Steve Smith for showing us around, and great to have John Zomchick and Mike Brady along for the tour!

Did you know there are 32 campus ministries on the @UTKnoxville campus?
Great visit with UKirk this morning, the Presbyterian ministry. The membership has doubled in the last few years, and a worship service is held every Wednesday night. Appreciate Rev. Rachel Penmore leading the ministry and all of our campus ministry leaders!

One thing @govbilllee said this morning during the @knoxchamber breakfast really stuck with me: “There are very few things that matter, and you ought to be about them.”
That’s a pretty good reminder for all of us, especially in higher education, to stay focused on what matters most and where we can make the greatest difference for Tennessee. I’m grateful for Gov. Lee’s leadership and service to our state. It was also great to have our UT chancellors together this morning. We share that same responsibility…to stay focused on the work that matters and what we can do together to serve Tennessee.

For 140 years, @UTChattanooga has been part of Chattanooga’s story and a driver of opportunity across Tennessee.
Today’s State of the University address and 140th anniversary celebration made clear that the university has strong momentum and leadership, with Chancellor Lori Bruce guiding UTC into its next chapter. The best part was celebrating with students and the community at the center of it all.
