Happy Birthday To Igwe Kenneth Orizu, The Father Of Modern Nnewi Today is the 101st birthday of His Royal Highness Igwe Kenneth Onyemaeke Orizu(the third) CON Igwe Kenneth Orizu is a man whose selfless and visionary leadership transformed Nnewi from a mere village to a commercial, industrial and medical city. He is a leader that has always put Nnewi first, and very intentional about maintaining peace and attracting meaningful developments to Nnewi. After the Nigerian civil war ended in the year 1970, Igwe Kenneth Orizu was instrumental to making sure that Nnewi people started investing at home, in what is now popularly known as Akụ Ruo Uno across Igboland. Nnewi pioneered it and all credits to our visionary Igwe. Even after Nnewi has been established as a commercial hub and need of industrialisation started arising, Igwe Kenneth Orizu started moving house to house, telling the capable persons in Nnewi that commercialization alone won't make Nnewi great. He convinced them to start venturing into industrialization. By 1980's, Nnewi already had lots of industries and more kept springing up. That was how the city earned the title 'THE JAPAN OF AFRICA'. Happy birthday Igwe Kenneth Orizu(III), the father of modern Nnewi.

No,it's good they are having opinions on what is their own. Let their resources be of maximum benefit to them. That is same thing I have been calling for Anambra state government to do for Nnewi that made @uchepokoye and his colleagues form an anti-Nnewi agenda team against me
The gas source is going to come from Obigbo in Rivers state. Imo state people no gree us rest, say SE wan finish their gas. Gas that's not even visible in your 13% derivative.

I had to come to Aba myself to see what everyone has been talking about, and honestly, I am impressed! As we continue our journey across Nigeria, we stopped in Aba, the industrial hub of Nigeria and home to some of the country’s most proudly Made-in-Nigeria products. I wanted to see the transformation for myself, and what I have experienced so far is worth talking about. From a city once widely criticised for its dirty environment to one that is becoming remarkably cleaner. From bad roads to improved road networks, from unreliable electricity to more consistent power supply, and now, the introduction of modern green shuttle services to improve transportation across Abia State. Aba is changing, and the difference is becoming difficult to ignore. Of course, there is still work to be done, but we must also be willing to acknowledge progress when we see it. Abia State is on the rise, and Aba is becoming a major part of that story. Credit to Governor @alexottiofr and his administration for the improvements I have witnessed. Keep up the good work! This is the kind of progress we want to see across Nigeria. Have you visited Aba recently? Do you think the city is living up to the hype? Next stop? #aba #abiastate #infrastructures

don’t talk to me if you never play ball for this pitch before 😂
This is the state of the now defunct Ifeanyi Ubah FC home ground in Nnewi, Anambra state. The stadium 🏟️ which is well fitted with natural grass and good irrigation systems, has been under-maintained since the death of the club. Some Anambra residents still believe it is the best football stadium in the state if properly maintained.

You may not believe this, but this poorly maintained stadium looks better than some present home grounds presently in use in the npfl

Some moments are profound at a deeply personal, faith and cultural level. At the Igwe Orizu III International Lecture on African Traditional Leadership, Culture, & Development in Honor of our Nnewi Kingdom’s monarch, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University’s Igwe Orizu ICT Center this morning in Nnewi, where I am serving as the Special Guest of Honor, I was transported by the Igbo gospel music to a level of nostalgia and connection with my roots that I enjoyed deeply. The thing really “enter”. Ifek’ego Nnewi Kingdom simply could not restrain his dance steps!

Neither China nor the West will ever wish for economic prosperity of Africa. They are here for their own gains. All Nigeria and Africa needs to do is to study the pattern, practices and policies China adopted on their journey to economic prosperity and replicate same.
They think chanting “West bad, China-Russia good” is how Africans will kumbaya their way to economic prosperity. These nations are traders. You don’t alienate yourself to just China because they’ll definitely leave you when shit hits the fan. Trade with them and move on, just as you do with everyone else. The nonsense of “West bad, China good” is why we have Chinese modern-day slave plantations masquerading as factories all over Africa, all in the name of “they’re better than the West”, as if we’re incapable of deciding what’s best for ourselves. Like I said, China should never be the main world power. They should jejely sit there as part of the global balance of power.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🤦🤦 We have to do better. Generations have failed to improve what our forefathers invented, and this current Igbo generation seems to be worst
The tools & techniques our people used in harvesting palm trees & tapping wines 200-300 yrs ago are the same thing they're using today. Reason being that oyibo people aren't interested in this industry but our people can't innovate - some idiots will call it awa kulture

I'm ezigbota onye Nnewi bro, I am sure you know what that means. Yes, Enugu doesn't have good purchasing power. It is a poor city. In the last five years, 3 cinemas opened and shut down in Enugu due to lack of patronage, Genesis, Diamond, Greenhauz cinemas. Viva cinema struggles
Onye Agbaenu dey talk about purchasing power?😂😂

That's their business actually. But the truth remains that we can not allow that madness to continue. Our common institutions as a people can not be concentrated in one state.

I support the creation of cemetaries across Igbo towns and cities
"We don't bury people in the cemetery" These people doesn't know burying in cemetery is far better than indiscriminate littering of corpses everywhere. That your ancestors couldn't think of a society where the dead & living live separately isn't something to be proud of.
