It’s cloudy where I live right now, and somehow it’s making me feel a little gloomy too.
So this might be a random thing to talk about, but I just want to leave a message for anyone whose life feels a little cloudy right now.
Everyone is dealing with different problems, but the first thing I want to say is:
“Life has a way of working itself out.”
You don’t have to push yourself so hard.
Maybe that sounds a little irresponsible.
People often say that if you just work hard enough, everything will eventually work out.
Of course, working hard is important.
But I don’t think that’s always true.
Life isn’t only about constantly pushing yourself harder.
And if there’s something you genuinely want to do, do it without worrying too much about what other people think.
Of course, as long as you’re not hurting or causing trouble for others.
It’s your life.
If you spend your entire life suppressing what you really want just to meet other people’s expectations, eventually it’s going to become painful.
I think this happens especially to people who are serious and responsible.
They spend so much time adjusting themselves to other people’s expectations and worrying about how others see them that, somewhere along the way, they stop living their own life.
But the truth is, in a good way, people don’t think about you nearly as much as you imagine they do.
So it’s okay to live your own life.
When life becomes overwhelmingly difficult, I sometimes think that maybe I’ve drifted a little too far away from the direction I truly want to go.
Almost as if life itself is saying,
“That’s not your path.”
And trying to guide me back toward where I’m supposed to be.
I also think we should stop spending so much time worrying about the future or living in the past.
The future hasn’t been decided yet.
And the past is already over.
There’s no reason to keep hurting yourself in the present over a future that doesn’t exist yet or a past that can no longer be changed.
Just try to live in the present moment.
So, what am I really trying to say?
Do what you want to do.
Live in a way that feels true to who you are.
And remember:
Life has a way of working itself out.
If you choose the things you genuinely want and keep living in a way that feels true to yourself,
I think one day, life will start working with you rather than against you:)
