Artists should talk about money. 10 years ago I had sold 2 pieces of art in my entire life, $125 for the first piece. $150 for the second piece. Both to the same person. I had been making work for 8 years before I sold anything (2008-2016). I had a full time job btw. And would go to the studio for 6-7 hours a night after I got off work, often times sleeping at my studio. But even before I sold my first piece of art (while I was working full time), I knew I was destined to be an art star. In this last month I’ve had two sales over a quarter million dollars each.
Believe in yourself. You can do whatever the fuck you want.
