“RAW came to Rocket Arena in Cleveland. I went with my wife, brother, one of my nephews, my oldest daughter and my brother-in-law. Decent seats up top. We had a blast.
LA Knight was in the main event and had a good match. After the show went off the air, he talked for 20 minutes about how he loves Cleveland and has a special connection to the city. He thanked everybody and told us to get home safely.
Thirty minutes later, we stopped at a Speedway to gas up and grab snacks and drinks for our two-hour drive home.
My nephew, who was tired but still buzzing from his first live event, was with me in line, and we were about to pay.
Somebody was in line behind me.
I looked over, and it was LA.
I didn’t want to be obvious, but I looked back and said, ‘Hey, great match tonight, man. Thank you.’
He said, ‘Thanks, man. That means a lot,’ and we shook hands.
He looked at my nephew, and we told him, ‘We’re big fans, man.’ He looked at my nephew for all of three seconds and said to him, ‘Hey, little man, I got somethin’ for ya.’
He took off his track jacket, TOOK THE SHIRT OFF HIS BACK AND GAVE IT TO MY NEPHEW, then, cool as ever, said, ‘Now don’t go losing this, man. It’ll be worth a lot of money one day. And who are you gonna say gave it to ya?’
My nephew said, ‘LA Knight,’ and he immediately followed with, ‘YEAH!’
My nephew said thank you, as did I, and I asked if we could get a picture. He said no problem. We took this picture, shook hands again and drove home unable to sleep the whole way.”
