MY ROOMMATE AND I PART 5️⃣ I dropped the phone. I couldn’t breathe. Then Favour whispered something that made everything even worse. “The reason you lost your memory wasn’t because of an accident.” I looked at her. “Then what happened to me?”

It was this exact room. Same wardrobe. Same window. Same beds. But the date on the picture was two years ago. And I was standing in the middle of the room. Beside me was Favour. I stared at the photograph. “That’s impossible.” Michael said quietly,

“You don’t remember because you weren’t supposed to.” My stomach tightened. “What happened?” Before he could answer, Favour interrupted. “Michael, stop.” I turned toward her. “No. Let him talk.” She started crying.

“Do you remember living in this room before?” I laughed. “Of course not. I’ve only been here for eight months.” He shook his head. “No. You’ve been here before.” I looked at Favour. She wouldn’t meet my eyes. Michael pulled out his phone and showed me a photograph.

I immediately became angry. “Why does everyone keep saying that? What exactly happened to me?” Michael stepped inside and closed the door. Favour stood up. “Michael, you weren’t supposed to come here.” He ignored her. Instead, he looked at me.

I opened the door anyway. Michael was standing outside. He looked completely different from the night before. No smile. No explanation. Just a serious expression. He looked at me and said, “You need to listen to me before Favour tells you something that isn’t true.”

Then he said something that made my blood run cold. “You need to remember before Favour tells you the wrong story again.” Michael’s voice was still stuck in my head. “Kamsi, open the door.” I looked at Favour. She was shaking. “Who is he?” I whispered. She didn’t answer

Before she could answer… Someone knocked on our door. Three slow knocks. Favour’s face went completely pale. She whispered, “Don’t open it.” I asked, “Who is it?” A man’s voice came from the other side. “Kamsi, it’s Michael.” I froze.

MY ROOMMATE AND I PART 4️⃣ A second later, a message came through. I opened it. It was from the same number. “Don’t let her leave the room tomorrow. She’ll remember everything.” I looked at Favour. She looked at me. And for the first time since we’d become roommates…

“What truth?” She looked at me for a long time. Then she said, “You didn’t just move into this room eight months ago.” I frowned. “What?” “You were already living here before.” I laughed nervously. “Favour, that’s impossible. I remember moving in.” She shook her head.

“No. You don’t remember.” She opened her gallery and showed me an old video. It was our room. Same walls. Same wardrobe. Same beds. But the date on the video was from two years ago. And there I was…Standing in the room. With Favour and Michael. I dropped the phone.....
