An appropriate day to remind everyone that for the 2nd yr. in a row Mayor Bass proposed zero new funding to RepresentLA, the City/County program which provides attorneys to LA residents facing deportation.
Like last time, council restored funding in this yr's proposed budget.
Bass might have received her biggest applause when she pledged to “always stand strong” with our immigrant community.
Guess what? She is proposing ZERO new funding for RepresentLA, which provides attorneys for those facing deportation.

🚨 Scooplet: @PalantirTech, a data firm with $145M in ICE contracts, was promoted as a "top supporter" at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's annual legislative conference in Washington, D.C. last week, according to photos reviewed by HuffPost and a statement from the company.
This comes after @CHCI, the nonprofit aligned with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, publicly canceled Palantir's sponsorship and returned a donation after facing backlash.
