Soon: NectarFi x NGX. Everyone is excited about tokenisation, and rightfully so. If major markets like the NYSE are already exploring how U.S. equities can move onchain, the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NGX) shouldn’t be far behind. I recently spoke with TechNext about what it could take to bring NGX-listed assets onchain, the infrastructure required, and the opportunity this could unlock for market access. If anyone on the NGX side is actively thinking about or working on this, I’m open to a conversation.
We're excited to announce our partnership with @NYSE to bring 24/7 access to tokenized U.S. equities and ETFs to users around the world. Another win toward making markets more globally accessible.

If you’re building from Nigeria, or anywhere in Africa, we’ve created a dedicated group to support you throughout the current Colosseum hackathon. Our community has produced two Colosseum hackathon winners, six honourable mentions, over 25 side-track wins, and dozens of projects that have grown into revenue-generating businesses. We know what it takes to win, and more importantly, what it takes to build beyond the hackathon and scale. DM @alexfavour to join.

Five minute Sunday exercise. Pick one user type. Write one sentence for what a healthy week looks like: opens it twice, weekdays, sends one thing. You cannot spot a broken rhythm without writing down the rhythm first.

Count how many of your monthly actives did the thing your product is for. Not opened a tab. Did the thing. Most founders find it is a third to a half of what the dashboard says. Define active as a value action, then recount.

Every retention curve drops. That is not the signal. The signal is whether it flattens. A curve that goes horizontal has a floor, and that floor is who your product actually works for. A curve sloping to zero means every user you acquire is rented.

Of the people who left on that page, how many hit an error first? Most stacks cannot answer that, because analytics and error tracking sit in different tools and nobody joins them. So the exit gets filed as churn when it was a bug.

Sort your pages by exits and the homepage wins every time. That is arithmetic, not insight. Divide exits by visits and sort by rate. The page sitting fourth on raw count, dropping 60% of 200 visits, is the one costing you accounts.

Two groups are not using your product right now. One never built a habit. One built one and broke it. In our own backtest, the second group returns at about 4x the rate of the first. Found the value once = needs a reminder. Never found it = needs convincing.

Two users churn the same week. One used it every Tuesday for six months, then stopped. One signed up Monday and never came back. Your churn number counts them the same. One is a product problem, the other is an onboarding problem.

10 minute exercise. Pull your 5 quietest regular users. Not new signups, people who had a habit and stopped. Find the last page each of them saw. If four stopped on the same screen, you don't have a churn problem. You have a page problem.
2
24
Ask ten tools what churn means and nine say: no activity in 30 days. Your daily user silent for 8 days is already gone. Your monthly user silent for 25 is fine. One window cannot describe two habits. Ask how long is too long for this person.

Most founders learn someone churned on the day the payment fails. The leaving happened weeks earlier, when they stopped showing up on their usual day. Watch the gap between visits, not the cancel button. The cancellation is just the receipt.
